Getting
Capturing the wedding with this documentary or reportage style, means I can work around you & your day. There is no strict structure and times, like some photographers ask. Many factors can alter throughout the day so this flexibility is key. The documentary wedding photography style, covers your day more thoroughly - It also allows you to relax whilst I do the hard work and capture moments you didn't even know had happened!
I believe that a wedding is a chapter of your life together. Do on your day what makes you both happy and don't worry about the pressures around. Using my knowledge and experience, I will put you all at ease, to me the day flow smoothly and effortlessly whilst documenting moments with beautiful wedding photography & memories to add to your story!
You may hear the word documentary or reportage when looking at a lot of photographers, however it is important that your wedding should be a day that you spend time together with loved ones and not in front of the lens! Unobtrusive photography that documents the real moments of your wedding day is what I strive for - I doubt you'll even notice that I'm around!

Whatever you are looking for, there is a package for you. The most popular is The Only Me - coverage of a wedding day with no restraints. I also offer The Extra Eyes, which includes a second awesome wedding photographer to enhance your day.
I see wedding photography as a form of storytelling, that is why I offer unlimited time coverage as standard. A story is full of chapters, an hour being a chapter, so every hour goes by at a wedding helps boost the quality of the tale.
I found that being there all day really allows me to get to know yourselves and the guests. this in turn helps me blend into the wedding, meaning I can capture a story completely personal to you, full on honest original characters.
A full day wedding might not be for everyone. If you are one of these couples that want a smaller coverage option then there are two packages for you.
The 'Arf Day - coverage of the essentials from any wedding day
The Wee One - start with just an hour, then add on extra hours should you wish.
Whatever your wish, we can find a package to suit!
The Smaller Coverage Options
Destination photography, compared to UK wedding photography has a £500 charge built in to the package to cover the cost of flights and accommodation in Europe. For more far out locations a pre-discussed surcharge might be added.
As a destination wedding offers me a new culture and backdrop, to compensate the above cost I always include a next day photography portrait shoot free of charge to allow us to explore the area in a greater depth and create unique, outstanding, memorable photographs
From Iceland to the Caribbean, I have been lucky enough to capture some beautiful wedding stories in beautiful far out locations and cultures! All my destination packages include an optional post wedding portrait session in the country as well as travel and accommodation, meaning you do not have the worry thinking about that.
I will research the country and specific locations in depth before, and together we can formulate a plan to get the most exotic and interesting photographs for your destination wedding.
Some of the places I've adventured to include, Mexico, Jamaica, Kenya, Greece, Iceland, France, Italy Scotland and of course, Wales!

With all weddings I am happy to travel anywhere, and love to capture authenticity of moment, to show the true joy of the wedding.

Yes, of course! In fact I feel its really important to meet face to face, in person or via Zoom, to have a chat about your wedding photography in a little more detail. It also gives you a chance to ask me any questions, as well as finalising all the details to make your photographs perfect.
This is a fun and relaxed session where you can get used to being in front of the camera and my approach, I can do a pre-wedding shoot anywhere you like - I normally recommend a place that means something to you - otherwise the park, woodland or a beach usually work best for a nice intimate stroll. I prefer shooting outdoors in natural light but I am all ears to any suggestions, just anywhere where you're relaxed and can be you!
Below are some of the various questions I get asked regularly, however if you have another in mind just drop me a message!
Absolutely! I love to travel! Although I am a wedding photographer in Bristol, my photography takes me all over the UK. All travel and accommodation is included. For destination weddings, this is included too, although location dependant a surcharge may be added. This is discussed prior on a wedding to wedding basis.
Of course you can! I am not afraid of a bit of water or mud - that’s what umbrellas and wellies are for! For those who are afraid of the English weather, I also prepare for this and normally have a plan B for indoor locations for photographs.
As a reportage wedding photographer I am there to capture all the natural moments of your wedding day, however I understand that some couples may want a few formal group photographs also. If you want some staged group shots then I love to capture them for you, as I think they are important for future memories.
I take great care to edit each photo with sensitivity keeping them looking as natural as possible whilst enhancing and applying my developed style. All wedding photographs are edited using professional software to achieve the highest quality.
Post processing of your photographs will take around 8 weeks - this is subject to change in intensely busy periods but I can give a closer estimation nearer the time. Once you have viewed the images and made your selection of favourites it can take up to a further 6-8 weeks for the design and production and postage of any albums.
Almost anything! The wedding photographs I provide will be full resolution and without any ugly watermarks. They are your photos, for you to share and print as much as you like. This said, I don't allow commercial use (in publications) without our prior consent in writing - further details regarding this can be found upon enquiry.
