Romain + Yohann married, eloped from France to say I do at the incredibly beautiful Armathwaite Hall!
These two gents are full of style! I had bowtie envy when I first met them! This was the day before as we had a cheeky coffee and talked about their plans. The day itself was fabulous. It was due to be and outdoor ceremony, but my word did the heavens open – however, this didn’t stop the gents, myself & the fabulous Louise (Celebrant) from keeping it outdoors! There was a beautiful hand fasting ceremony under the great tree at Armathwaite before we had a wee wander around the ground. We then (minus Louise) ventured out to go on a mini tour of the lakes.
Never have I done a wedding where the couple have brought a few sets of clothing with them! Brilliant! We began by heading to Whinlatter forest, as my word do I love Pines! Then after a stop at the viewpoint we heading down to Castlerigg Stone Circle! The American tourists looked on in bemusement as I got the smoke grenades out. The final port of call was at Ullswater, where the chaps hired a rowing boat and floated into the sunset!
They are truly two of the nicest people I have ever met in my life! i loved photographing their elopement and in turn making two very good friends! right, now to pack my bags and head to France!
