Hidden River Barn – A Beautiful wedding venue in the Lake District
I might be based in the south-west now, but for twelve years I live just outside of the Lake District. It feels very nostalgic to venture back to a venue that was so nearby. A venue that I I have watch blossom from nothing into this beautiful barn powerhouse! Hidden river barn truly is an incredible wedding venue. The new barn houses for large wedding parties, however the settings are so serene that micro weddings and elopements also lead to beautifully intimate and secluded feel! This was my first visit to Hidden river cabins to shoot a combined Wedding photography and film package to which I must send a massive shout out to Ryan Shenton who came along to help me photograph and film the day.
INTRODUCING Hayley, Niall and their intimate outdoor wedding
I remember chatting to Hayley and Niall when they were living in the mountains of Andorra! They gave off pure vibes! It was another case of leaving the conversation knowing the wedding you have just booked is going to be one of the highlights of the wedding season.
It was evident to see the love they have for each other. the glances, smiles, kisses or little reassuring strokes. They are couple goals! A two who not only got to share the most beautiful day with their friends, but did so together every step of the way.
The day began at the house on the hill, where the couple separated by a single door got prepared to walk to grassy aisle. Hayley opted to do her own make up. I often think its a great decision as it means you can real feel like yourself on the day – don’t tell my MUA friends! Niall shaved and glossed his head before heading down to the kitchen to meet the other chaps! the sun was blazing as they all then wandered down to the ceremony location.
Lets talk the vows and the wedding evening in the hidden river barn
Niall, plethora full of emotions, bobbed at the end of the aisle before his lady walked towards him. The smiles illuminated the cumbria sky as both laid eyes on each other. The ceremony was lead by the close friend as the river meandered just meters away. They opted for personal wedding vows. Neither disappointed as both spoke wholesome words and brought a tear and giggle to sight.
The wedding then progressed into the barn. Champagne was poured as the little woof began to steal the show. The breakfast came out to the sound of a string quartet before impromptu speeches and a collection of fun family shots.
As the sun settled towards to the end of the day, I took Niall and Hayley out on and adventure around the scenic woods and river. It is hard to think of a more beautiful location for couple portraits. This time was full of love, lens flare and some river walking fun. The rest of the night flowed with pure energy, and energy that was constantly emited from a couple so in tune with each other, and so in love.
I’ll just end by saying I flipping love these two, and everything about this incredible wedding! Congrats! x
