– 41 weddings, 2 elopements, 1 destination, 82 silly faces, 36 venues, 6 bowties, 4 countries, 13000 miles, 1 dropped lens and many a new friend –
Well 2017 has been one of the most challenging years for me on both a personal level and as a business!
On a personal level I want to say a massive thanks to Sarah, who put up with me for over 5 years and helped me set up my business, you’ll always be a fabulous friend and I’m so thankful for everything you did. Also a massive thanks to Rach Hayton. Who has helped me through this year simply by being there and just being her zany self! Finally and most importantly to Nanna Power, who sadly was a few weeks away from reaching 2018. Your delicious meat and potato pies were the catalyst to my growth and I will forever love you dearly!
Now to the wedding photography side
Now to business! It has been simply epic!! So many beautiful couples and fabulous new friends met! I photographed my first wedding in Iceland, and began to pick up a few awards for my images. I have further developed my style and am slowly but surely getting to the level I want. I have lots planned for the future but yes 2017 has been very kind to my business.
So what of 2018! This Sunday I’ll be attending my first wedding fayre (info at bottom of post.) I will be heading south to go to a few seminars and workshops. Then to work with my fabulous friend CC to rebrand the business. Finally to awards, I’ll enter them to hopefully grow my name and reputation! There are already many a beautiful couple booked, and I’m sure there will be more to come! So here is to making new friends in 2018 and I look forward to sharing in your wedding days!
To end I would love to say thank you to all that have helped to make my year so fabulous. A special thanks goes to ‘The Harris’, ‘The Cannar’ , ‘The McGuiness’ & ‘The Charlton’ who all photographed alongside me at somepoint throughout the year. Also massive thanks to ‘The Rogers’ & ‘The Hudson’ who helped me edit in GJP HQ.
