It is every photographers dream to photograph a wedding in a Scottish castle. It is also a great pleasure when you get to photograph the wedding of a fellow photographer.
Ken & Angela travelled the short distance to marry at Comlongon Castle, the fire roared within the great hall as the couple said their vows whilst the sun beamed over the whole day.
The day flowed with ease and fluidity, making it such a pleasure to capture. After the wedding breakfast the whole party headed outside to witness the laird give his blessing to the newlyweds. I have done a knotting ceremony before, however this one was truly special; not only did it take place in the beautiful castle grounds, but it was humorous and involved the guests. The friends and family, of whom, helped to make Ken & Angela’s day so special.
The tying of the hands symbolised the start of a long happy marriage, but also the near end to Ken & Angela’s wedding day. Well for me anyways, as I left everyone to drink and dance the night away.
