Hanging With Holder – Fun at the Upside down house
I decided this year I was going to blog a little more about general things alongside work. The things or people that inspire me day to day – faces in places, art, random oddballs – and ultimately make my brain twizzle! With that in mind I thought it apt that my first ‘Stories of Me’ post would be a literal head turner! I started today with a mini coffee catchup with my good friend and fellow wedding photographer Oliver Holder. We went to the Upside Down House in Bristol to have some fun. I saw the one in Brighton a while back and ever since have wanted to go and photograph in one. Especially with a wedding couple (and takers?!?!?) It was a fun morning and a great way to start a casual Wednesday!
A little about the upside down house in Bristol
Upside Down House Bristol only opened the other day – I noticed it in construction whilst pottering around the Bristol lightfest with Bethan. It is located super centrally and turns out to be a fun little attraction for all, big kids like me are especially thrilled. Highly recommend a wee mooch and cheap treat – at only £6.95 per person (at time of writing this post) – on your next Harbourside excursion. Be warned however you might feel a bit dizzy at first but once you embrace the chaos, you’ll hit the ceiling on a high! It also creates an amazing hidden face in a place.
What they say (direct from their website)
Designers have carefully selected the exterior colour in magenta complementing Bristol’s lively character. The interior has been designed to represent the local area with cultural elements and a modern vibe. Upside Down House Bristol is centrally located at Bristol’s harbourside next door to We The Curious. The nearest car park is the Millennium Square Car Park and the nearest train station is Bristol Temple Meads. Motion sickness may apply due to the house being at a slant.
HOLD ON TIGHT HOLDER!

WANT SOME UPSIDE DOWN SNAPS?
Let me know and we can maybe have a mooch and shoot someday. I am also looking to do some quirky photography with a wedding couple – so if that is your vibe then I am in! Hell Yeah!
