Clevedon Pier wedding – the perfect wedding venue for an elopement wedding.
Clevedon is a place I hold a fondness of. Two years ago I up sticks from the north and my path led me to this beautiful town. I have walked past Clevedon Pier countless times – whether it be on one of my runs along the seafront, during an elopement wedding I photographed underneath it or just on my journeys to Clevedon Hall – for some reason, however I was yet to step foot on the pier itself. That changed today! It truly was a magical experience for me, and I am sure it was for Andy + Alison. Clevedon Pier is not just any wedding venue. It is a wedding venue with character, intimacy and above all pure beauty in the hands of a excellent team and service.
time to talk about Alison + Andy, The Clevedon Socialites!
It all started 18 months ago, as I unloaded my guitars out of the van only to strike a conversation with Andy. A bassist himself in the wedding industry. A few car park hellos and a wine date later, Andy and Alison booked photography with me for Clevedon Pier wedding.
I think you would be hard pressed to find a more perfect couple. It is evident to see not only care for each other (and their family) but also the community. Their ethos to keep the wedding an entirely Clevedon based occasion was also a wonderful touch.

The whole day flowed with an air of calmness and relaxation. I always love it when the ‘normal’ wedding traditions are put aside, so when Andy and Alison told me they would be getting ready together I loved it. It is something you often experience when photographing elopement weddings. Carlos (the cat) helped Andy don his tie, whilst Alison was downstairs in the capable hands of Kate (Edge Of Beauty by Kate)
The neighbours waited outside for that first glimpse before a swift drive took them to the Pier. Guests arrived cocooned in their coats and a brisk wind whipped the air. The glass house was converted from cafe to ceremony venue with a short aisle surrounded by candles. Alison walked down to many a smile come happy tear. After the lovely service everyone went below deck to the porthole room for a glass of fizz!
We then tackled the winds for a stroll down the pier overlooking the beautiful sights of Clevedon seafront, and then onto the beach itself. A few portraits later and a confetti box to the face. It was time to head back to the glass house for fish and chips and a lovely evening of wine and conversation, as the sunset and the night sky illuminated the glistening pier.
A perfect way to celebrate your marriage with the closest of friends and family. I love this duo, their entourage, and everything about this incredible wedding on Clevedon Pier! Congrats! x
